The Department of Orthopaedics, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, Capital Medical University, plans to hold the "World Osteoporosis Day Convenience Clinic" from 8:00 am on October 20, 2020, and release a series of osteoporosis-related science popularization and health manuals to improve Citizens’ awareness of osteoporosis has enabled more osteoporosis patients to receive timely and comprehensive treatment.

On the Eve of WOD the citizens of Yaroslavl in Russia will learn more about the dangerous “silent” disease- Osteoporosis , its risk factors, prevention and treatment
Ksenia Belova, PhD, the Head of the Osteoporosis treatment and diagnostic center of the Yaroslavl Clinical Emergency Hospital named after Solovyov will give a talk in the program "On the Agenda" on the City TV Channel in Yaroslavl. Here are some of the questions for the discussion:
1) Why is osteoporosis dangerous? What people are at risk?
2) What factors cause the disease?
TASS will hold an online press conference “Osteoporosis: current problems during the pandemic” dedicated to the problem of osteoporosis in Russia and the development of healthy mobility of older age groups. The event is timed to the World Osteoporosis Day.
On October ,29 the kids in the orphanage “Solnechny” in Yaroslavl , Russia will participate in the celebration of WOD-2020.
They will listen to an online lecture about osteoporosis, its burden and a healthy way of life ( the importance of exercising and nutrition) The cartoon “ Protect Your Future” and video “Yes to Strong Bones , No to Osteoporosis” made in the this orphanage before will be used . They will also do useful exercises .
The lecturer is Kseniya Belova, PhD, Head of the Osteoporosis center in Yaroslavl.
