On October ,20 a group of the citizens of Yaroslavl in Russia  will enjoy  participating in the Nordic Walk  workshop   devoted to WOD-2020.

 The workshop will be conducted by a national coach of INWA and an activist of the Russian Patient Society “Osteorus” - Elena Mazurova.

 The participants  will receive  brochures and leaflets on nutrition, calcium intake , Osteoporosis risk check, Falls prevention fact sheet and others .

On October 20, the Municipal Association of Libraries and the Ural Branch of the Russian Osteoporosis Association (RAOP) will hold a Milk Day. The traditional event will be held for the first time in an online format. On the MAB "VKontakte" page you will be able to listen to lectures by specialists, get acquainted with current literature and even make useful exercises .

Experts of the World Health Organization ( WHO) and the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) )call the problem of osteoporosis as  one of the most urgent in the world.

The Portuguese Society of Spine Pathology (SPPCV) is promoting an osteoporosis awareness campaign that will be disseminated within the scope of World Osteoporosis Day, marked on October 20.

“Don't waste any more time. Bet on better bone health! ” is the motto of this initiative that is available on social networks and at the Community Care Units - Health Centers, through an informational video.

On the occasion of World Osteoporosis Day (October 20, 2020), a campaign is launched to draw attention to the dangers of bone thinning and at the same time inform the risk group - especially women aged 50+ - about the possibilities of preventing and early detection of osteoporosis.
