The 2019 Global WOD Movement
The World Osteoporosis Day (WOD) 2019 campaign idea is to have an authentic and multi-ethnic visual approach for the WOD 2019 campaign: “THAT’S OSTEOPOROSIS” featuring, for the first time, real patients. The idea behind this campaign is to emphasize the direct link between osteoporosis and broken bones and then the link between broken bones and impact on daily life – shows the human burden in terms of lost independence and lost ability to carry out tasks of everyday life. Imagery of the campaign will create an emotional response.
We invite the public, healthcare professionals and organizations worldwide to join IOF and its 240 member societies in raising awareness of bone health and calling for action on osteoporosis and fracture prevention in their communities.
