Details: Join this free one hour osteoporosis exercise beginners class/workshop that was developed for those who are looking to learn how to strength train and stretch safely with osteoporosis. Studies have shown that resistance, weight-bearing, and impact exercises help to build bone density. It is crucial to learn how to exercise properly because the wrong exercises or improper form can lead to fractures and injury. This class will show you the exercises that should be performed, the exercises that should be modified and the exercises that should be avoided. In addition to strengthening bones and muscles, posture and balance exercises will be demonstrated. You will need hand weights, a mat, and a resistance band.
