A special virtual event held in connection with World Osteoporosis Day, hosted by the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University, on 15 October 2026 (09:00–11:15 ET).
The programme opens with welcome remarks from IOF President Nick Harvey, followed by an introduction from Varta Babalyan, Director of the Osteoporosis Center of Armenia.
Three expert presentations follow: Emily Stein on optimizing preparation for spinal surgery, E. Michael Lewiecki on challenging issues in the management of osteoporosis, and John P. Bilezikian on emerging physiologic and therapeutic concepts of parathyroid hormone.
The session closes with a Q&A with all participants.
