World Osteoporosis Day 2026 – “Build, Protect, Strengthen Your Bones for Life”

To mark World Osteoporosis Day 2026, the Department of Physiotherapy, School of Allied and Healthcare Sciences, Noida International University, organized a program under the theme “Build, Protect, Strengthen Your Bones for Life." The event brought together students and faculty to promote bone health at every stage of life. Guest speakers explained what osteoporosis is, how it affects mobility and independence, and how healthy lifestyle habits from an early age can prevent it. A nutritionist session introduced the “Indian bone-friendly plate," built around calcium, vitamin D, and protein, and a poster competition let students share this message creatively. Final-year physiotherapy students then led a mock drill, teaching and demonstrating exercises for osteoporosis across its early, intermediate, and late stages, and showing how movement can help build and protect strong bones.
